In case you don't know, Dominic has had a special stuffed elephant named Bazoo since he was very, very young. Actually, for a period of time there were two Bazoos, in case one got lost, and one did. Well, right around Christmas the remaining Bazoo also disappeared. This was a tragedy but we somehow managed to get by without him. Lately Dominic has been missing Bazoo more and more, so I decided we would head out to Build-A-Bear in hopes that Dominic would be happy with a new elephant that he made himself.
Dominic stuffed his own elephant, picked out some pajamas and slippers and named his new elephant Bazoo 2. They even had a mini-elephant that he decided to buy and named him Bazoo 3.
When we got home Dominic and I were cleaning up. I opened the cabinet under the entertainment center and guess what we found? Yup, Bazoo #1!
Dominic is thrilled to have his old friend back and keeps thanking me for finding him. He still loves his new elephants though. He's currently sleeping with the whole herd of elephants.
In other Dominic news, we're on the 3rd day of this horrendous illness that he picked up at school. I thought we were finally through it today when his temperature stayed under 100 for most of the day. Late this afternoon it started back up again and by bedtime he was back around 102. All of the kids at school and his teacher are sick at this point. I'm just praying it doesn't hit me.
Finally, a friend told me about a challenge to take (and post) one picture a day for a year. I'm getting a late start on it but have decided to try it starting today. I'll be posting pictures at http://www.lverry.blogspot.com/ so check it out!
